Volunteer Planting Day on East Plum Creek
Want to get outside on a peaceful, private ranch along East Plum Creek and make a difference? Join thr volunteers at CALF's Lowell Ranch to plant hundreds of riparian plants along the creek. These plants will hold the soil in times of high water and create native habitat in this important wildlife corridor.
This activity is appropriate for young adults to seniors. Tools and training are provided by Bill Vanderpoel, Project Manager.
Please bring work gloves, sturdy shoes that can get wet, water, snacks, and sun protection.
Questions? Contact Heather at Heather@DouglasConserves.org or (303) 218 2622.

West Plum Creek Community Picnic
The West Plum Creek Stream Management Plan team is inviting you to a community picnic.
We’ll be gathering with neighbors, connecting with our community, learning from experts, and enjoying some delicious local food – and we want YOU to join us. If you live in the West Plum Creek watershed, you are integral to the success of this stream management plan, and we want to share this process with you.
The picnic will be held at beautiful Sandstone Ranch Open Space in an area of the park not typically open to the public. You’ll have a chance to:
· Enjoy free food from a local eatery
· Take a closer look at some of the creatures that call West Plum Creek home
· Meet your neighbors and fellow West Plum Creek residents
· Enter a drawing to win prizes
· Chat with experts about watershed issues
· Hear updates on Stream Management Plan progress
· Provide feedback on elements of the plan
If you live in the West Plum Creek watershed, we’d love to have you. Bring the whole family for an evening in the park, and prepare to enjoy yourself!
Please note: We want to make sure there is enough dinner to go around, so please kindly RSVP for this event.
Questions, or need help registering? Email Maria at mpezza@watershed.center.
